I used a square piece of wood with a long threaded rod and nuts, and just slowly but surely pushed the bushing into place.... The REAL PITA was getting the differential BACK IN! Those new bushings are about 1/4" to thick and yes, I had them in exactly as the diagram showed. We ended up using a huge german C clamp to push one side of the differential against its bushings so we could literally kick the other side down in. I really don't ever want to do that again.
